A total of 80.924 billion stablecoins were mint from January to August 2021, an increase of 2.208 billion stablecoins in August compared with 78.716 billion in July. In the past eight months, 133.53 billion banknotes have been minted and 52.607 billion banknotes have been destroyed.

The top 3 stablecoins in terms of net minted supply in August are USDT, TUSD, and PAX, with 3 billion, 123 million, and 20 million tokens respectively.

The months with the highest net issuance of tokens over the 8-month period are May, April, and February. In May, the total net minted supply was 20.945 billion tokens, in April it was 18.536 billion tokens, and in February it was 12.977 billion tokens.
